First Bite: “I Had Sex in the 90s”

I left Minneapolis nearly three years ago. Each year I stay in touch with fewer people and in turn feel less connected to a city that saw me grow up before its eyes. I latched strongly onto the tight-knit music scene the Twin Cities has and it’s the easiest way for me to feel like I’m still a member of that grand town. I doubt Prof will make many top albums lists but every time I put this album on it brings back so many memories that were made in the lakes state. I’ve seen Prof four times since moving as well as various other Minnesota acts. In fact, I’m seeing Har Mar Superstar on New Year’s Eve. I find myself not necessarily attending shows for the music but more for the familiar faces that remind me of my adopted home of Minneapolis.
