Foals - Holy Fire

#8 – Foals – Holy Fire

Foals’ releases to this point have been somewhat underwhelming. There were always bits of promise and intrigue, but nothing that inspired me to oversell the band to my friends so they’d start listening too. But, something changed with Holy Fire. The band opened their minds to new instruments and production techniques and as a result Holy Fire has the band sounding like someone lit a fire under their asses – maybe a holy fire… Anyway, the album is a barrage of tasty tracks that hint at the existence of a dirtier, funkier Foals. It’s groovy and great and you should listen to it. -Rondeau
